Have I been living under a rock?
I’ve had Snapchat for at least a year, but I just learned that you can see how many people–and which people–viewed your Snapchat story.
I figured if I didn’t know until just now, many other Snapchatters don’t either. So here’s how.
1. Go to your Stories screen and tap the three vertical dots to the right of ‘My Story.’
2. A dropdown will appear showing you how many people viewed each of the snaps in your story. As you can see, I’m totally racking up the views.
3. Tap any snap to see a full list of who viewed it. Cool!
I think it’s an interesting feature to be able to see who’s viewing your content. It’s a change from Facebook or Twitter, which keep this information private (let’s all pause for a moment to thank our lucky stars Facebook doesn’t let people see when you’ve viewed their profile, amiright?).
I’m still using Snapchat purely for entertainment purposes–think pictures of wine and videos of my dog–but if you’re using it to promote your brand, being able to track who viewed each snap and in what volume is a great metric to have.
I’d love to see how others are using Snapchat. You can add me by my username, tamibrehse, and I’ll add you back!
Do you keep tabs on who views your Snapchat content?
